I took all my images in a RAW format to be able to capture as much data as possible for when I convert to black and white and crop.
Due to the poor winter weather and where I live I only took a small amount of inspiration from my research images. A lot of my research images are in an urban environment and have very harsh lighting conditions to create drama. In order for me to create drama I decided to go into the countryside and use the poor weather to my advantage. The low lying clouds helped a lot to add drama but I didn't think this would be enough alone so I then started to look for leading lines e.g. paths. In some of the images I drafted in my Dad to create a mystery figure heading off into the distance.
