For my still life project I started by building a light box but quickly moved on as I found them restricting. Instead I used various lighting setups and techniques I had learnt from youtube and various other social media platforms, such as pinterest and instagram. To build these lighting setups I used various materials found in my house, such as tin foil and torches and then bought other materials, such as colored card and Perspex tiles.
The picture on the left is lit by firing the flash directly at the subject. This is a poor image as the shine of the wallet looks unprofessional.
The image on the right looks more professional as the flash is bouncing off a large piece of white car giving a much softer light and overall looks better.
